Carnival events do sell out so if you want to attend an event, it is important to purchase tickets in advance. The easiest way to approach this topic is to purchase event tickets with specialized Brazilian travel agency.

If you are already in Rio de Janeiro, you can also visit the Rio Tur Office at Rua Assembleia 10 on the 9th floor. You can also read the local newspaper Veja Rio for further information. If you chose not to purchase tickets for the Samba Parade in advance, you can visit the box office at Maracana Stadium. Beware, seats sell out early, and make plans accordingly.
